Northamptonshire - Brook Farm

I visited Brook Farm in Northamptonshire, Rosie runs the animal sanctuary entirely with the help of volunteers.

Many of the animals here have been rescued to save them from being slaughtered.

I worked mainly with the poultry (chickens, turkeys, ducks and geese)

They were more concerned for their sisters and brothers still victims of the battery farming industry than themselves. The emotional trauma was palpable emanating from them.

I could only apologise on behalf of humanity for their treatment and our ignorance and lack of respect. The animal kingdom are our sisters and brothers, equals but different. We need to awaken to this truth and honour them rather than abusing them.
